Uma decided to clean the mower off. She asked for a trash bag to put clippings in. I explained to her that grass doesn’t need to go in the trash and that we can reuse it. She looked at me confused. So I then went through a long explanation of how compost works.
Since Uma loves to mother anything and everything, the idea of “making food” for our plants excited her beyond belief. It’s fitting that her first name means Motherly. She is now collecting all the grass clippings and old veggies in the fridge to make her own plant food pile.
Composting is just one of those things I gave up in the craziness of everyday life. Looks like I’ve got someone to delegate the job to now!
